Say goodbye to Algebra 1 on this campus. Interestingly, San Marcos Unified still offers advanced math classes for their middle school students, but Vista prefers to keep their students at the same low level. Lots of good local shopping. Farmers market by the high school. Easy access, walking distance. There are no sidewalks or bike lanes in the unincorporated area, which people love. But after dark, the danger is real. Not from people, from cars ". The view from the top of the hill at the apartment complex is to die for. You can get anywhere but you must drive. That gets old but it is very peaceful".
The neighborhood is definitely pet friendly. A lot of sketchy people due to the train station running through town with the train station we get a lot of homeless and drug dealers not very safe ".

Everyone is very nice and friendly. Most streets are winding but no sidewalks. There are many places to walk your dog but not many dog parks.
Not a very safe neighborhood for raising children in. A lot of gang violence and helicopters swarming daily". Small animals dogs, cats, rabbits are prey. Also, no sidewalks or shoulders on roads, and people drive fast through switchbacks and winding roads make it tough to walk dogs. Look closely around specific neighborhood for walk-ability before moving. Resident 3y ago. Busy streets however, make it harder to walk your pet as freely until you get to said park area or trails.
Not like would be that there are some dogs that bark a lot. But the city of Vista does many of its specialty events and parades year round. There are horse ranches and hiking areas nearby. Zero crime, great breezes, close to ALL services and fwy access. Units are well equipped and the local community is very welcoming. The neighbors are really nice. Ocean breezes with plentiful sunshine.
The residents are caring and considerate. It's a great place to live, with good schools. Vista has a strong rural, agricultural, and flower-growing heritage Vista was teh subject of a PBS special entitled "Vista.. Clean clear warm mornings and early ocean breezes this Mediterranean micor clime is well know for it's citrus and avacados but even more for the well runn city government, progressive transportation Light rail!
Considered the jewel of the north county 'coastal communities' just 5 miles inland from the Carlsbad Beaches, vista is home to north counties largest park and outdoor entertainment center Brengle Terrace and the Moonlight Amphitheater Vista also hosts the oldest and largest Farmers Market, The fastest growing Business Park and hosts the largest number of microbreweries which San Diego has become world famous for.
Small business friendly yet VERY family and community focused Vista simply won us over. Inside the community has a Fenced Basketball court but can be used for hockey, four square, ball games and much more. The pool is always clean and the landscape during the spring is perfect, during the winter the landscaping looks a little ruff. Singles can live in the round about next to the pool.
