Old Navy. Cielo Cleaners. Ryan L. Lambert P. I buy most of my games at this particular location. As far as EB goes there are also 2 other locations nearby. One is in Sherway Gardens but parking there is a gong show sometimes and the other is in Cloverdale Mall near the middle south entrance close to Metro.

The staff at this location are always knowledgeable and helpful. For EB you can trade in games now when the value is better than say a month or two from now when the game you are waiting for comes out. Trade it in when you are done and get better value towards the game coming out later. Many times there are promotions like if you trade in say 2 or 3 recent games the game that is on promo you can get straight up.

If you return games relatively soon like me you will get good trade in value for them. I did love working at EB Games for a while. Here are some reasons I enjoyed it: -I had a good manager who I was comfortable around. He was very understanding of mental health issues, allowed us to take food breaks if we needed it which should be standard but unfortunately it is not , and he was very flexible with the schedule.

I made so many customer-friends. Sometimes I feel like going back there just for them. I, a person who is passionate about things she loves namely video games , became unenthusiastic about everything. I was constantly told to stop trying to sell good products and only sell ones that made EB money.

Sure, it is sales, I should have known better when getting myself into it; however, I think EB implements selling culture in a way that makes passionate workers hate themselves. With that said, my manager did this constructively, so I never felt overly pressured by him, it was more of just a painful - more Pros Nice coworkers, pretty good management, customer interaction, video games.

Cons Selling culture, mentally draining. Pros great employees and coworkers. Cons lots of standing, minimum wage, only 30 minute lunch break, horrible upper management, does not care about employees.

Could be stressful, but overall a fun workplace with incredible people. Since I was a part-time temp, I worked regulating the amount of people in the store most of the time. It was a tough job, since I would stand for hours at a time, but I honestly enjoyed it in a way. My coworkers were the best part of the job, I loved talking and working with them.

It would be about hours of doing whatever job, and then a half an hour to an hour of cleanup if you were on closing. Worked there a few years ago when I decided to go back to school. Left a job in cell phone sales because I needed to cut down on hours and just got burned out being a salesmen. Turns out, this job pushed sales as much if not more than an actual sales job but gave you no commision for it. Basically, your reward for hitting your sales targets is not getting reprimanded. People I worked with were great, but higher level management were a total joke.

The fact that I was working with video games didn't take the sting out, in fact it made me hate thinking about video games outside of work. Discounts were god awful too. If you have any self respect, don't work here and just let them go out of business. Pros Coworkers. Cons Literally everything else. The management is very supportive and encuraging. The team was welcoming and very helpful during the training process.

Definatly a laid back stress free work enviroment evwn during the holidays. Pros You will constantly be learning new things. Cons Absolutely no cons. This company goes above and beyond to make you not feel wanted. They do not appreciate their staff, and provide no opportunity for development. Lots of empty promises to ensure people continue to give their lives for the company.

The only thing that makes this a fun job is the staff, the pay is basically non existant. Pros coworkers, customers. Cons bad pay, overworked, no development. The warehouse was not a comfortable place to work, with the temperature outside always leaking in, which was especially bad in the summer.

But the work is straight forward and the people there are friendly enough. It's tedious, repetitive, and briskly paced but it was by no means complicated work. Management very rarely helped their departments besides maybe telling them how much longer they had to work on a particular task. Pros 2 paid 15 minute breaks.

Cons terrible insulation for the warehouse, incredibly high turn over rate. Claim this company page. Want to know more about working here? Ask a question about working or interviewing at EB Games. Our community is ready to answer. Ask a Question.
